  • BioHeap - Wholly owned by Western Areas Limited, Bioheap is a bacterial leaching technology designed to separate valuable metals from sulphide ores.  
  • Grid Metals Corporation - Western Areas holds a 13.34% stake in the Grid Metals Corporation based in Toronto, Canada. This company focuses on exploration of nickel, copper and platinum in the south-east of Manitoba.
